Breakage

If an item is broken, the item should be immediately cleaned up and placed in the proper area. Use a baggie to store broken items.

Use one of the provided “Broken” slips to record the breakage and place it with the broken item. The inventory manager will collect the broken item and record accordingly.

Important! You must accompany the inventory barcode sticker with the broken item.

Theft by a customer

If you see someone stealing, follow the steps below for a proper investigation:

Gather evidence

  • Go to area customer was and check for stolen items.
  • Record date and time of theft
  • Record items stolen
  • If you are able, follow the customer to vehicle and record license plate.
  • Notify management

Notify authorities

  • Notify the police
  • Police will come to location for a police report.

Theft by an employee

If you see an employee stealing from Souzza, report this to your direct manager. If your direct manager is involved in the theft, seek out a higher manager.

Theft by an employee is unacceptable and will be dealt with internally. This may result in termination and could follow with criminal charges.
