Before you can build customer relationships, you must be where the customer is (behind a case that a customer is at). Be there for the customer if they have a question.
To build good customer relationships you need to:
- greet customers and approach them in a way that is natural and fits the individual situation
- show customers that you understand what their needs are
- accept that some people won’t want our products and concentrate on building relationships with those who do
- help people – even just letting a customer know about a product that you know they’re personally interested in is helpful
If there is more than one person working and a customer comes into the store, ALL team members should be on the showroom floor.
