Asking everyone for the proper identification is a very important part of your job. Anyone 20 years old or younger cannot be in the store and must be asked to leave the premises.
Politely ask for an I.D. from ALL customers as they walk in the door. e.g. “May I see your I.D.?”
As the employee checking IDs, you are legally responsible to not sell tobacco products to underage customers. If the state catches you not following ID laws, you will be fined and charged in court. Stay on top of it.
